What is Trackabeast and how does it help animal rescues?

Trackabeast is an intuitive, web-based management software designed specifically for foster-based animal rescues and shelters. It centralizes your organization's brain by tracking animal medical records, foster placements, adoption applications, and donor history in one secure location.

Does Trackabeast work on mobile devices?

Yes. Trackabeast is fully responsive and accessible via any web browser on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. This allows your volunteers and fosters to update animal records or check medical reminders while on the go.

Is there a free trial available?

Absolutely. We offer a free trial with no credit card required. We'll send you a bill during our next billing period which you can pay if you want to continue. (It often turns out to be longer than you'd expect.) You can also explore our Public Demo to see the interface in action before signing up.

How many users can I have?

You are allowed an unlimited number of users and multiple access levels. You can set up each user yourself with a login, password, and permission level.

What happens if the number of animals is different than what I predicted?

We'll catch up with you next time. You will not be charged retroactively. We have found our customers to be very trustworthy.

Can the data I enter during my free trial be transferred to my chargeable account when the trial is over?

Yes, your trial account is actually a chargeable account. After you sign up, we'll send you a bill during our next billing period which you pay if you want to continue. If you don't want to continue, we hope you'll let us know — and tell us why. Maybe we can improve it.

Features & Integrations

Can Trackabeast automatically post my animals to Petfinder?

Yes. Trackabeast features seamless integration with major adoption platforms including Petfinder, RescueGroups, and Adopt-a-Pet. When you update an animal's status in your database, the changes are automatically synced to these sites.

Can Trackabeast feed data to my own website?

Yup, that too.

How does the medical tracking and reminder system work?

You can log every medical event — from vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries to fecal results — directly into an animal's profile. The system allows you to set reminders that appear on your reminders page. These can be filtered by date, ensuring no animal misses a booster or check-up. Email reminders are coming soon.

Can I manage foster and adoption applications through the site?

Yes. Trackabeast includes customizable application forms for fosters and adopters as well as volunteers, owner surrenders, and any type of application you would like to have. You can track the status of every application, maintain communication logs, and store signed contracts directly in Trackabeast.

Can I request changes to Trackabeast?

Yes — if your change is something that will benefit many of our groups and is not prohibitive cost-wise, we will do it for you. We have been adding upgrades like crazy this year.

Data & Security

Can I upload my existing data?

Yes! We will send you templates to fill out from your old database for animals and people. We will upload that data for you into Trackabeast.

Can I export my data if I decide to leave?

Your data belongs to you. Trackabeast provides a "slice and dice" export feature that allows you to download all your records into Excel-compatible spreadsheets at any time for offline reporting or migration. You can access these on Trackabeast even after you leave.

Is my data secure?

Security is a top priority. Trackabeast uses industry-standard encryption and secure cloud hosting to ensure your animal records, donor information, and financial data are protected and backed up daily.

Is Trackabeast available in languages besides English?

Yes. We currently offer Polish and will be adding Spanish, French, and German shortly. We will gladly add your language when you sign up.

Pricing & Support

How much does Trackabeast cost?

For most rescue groups, Trackabeast charges a flat fee of $25 per month. There are no long-term contracts, and you can cancel at any time.

What kind of support do you offer?

We pride ourselves on personalized customer service. Our support team is available via email and phone to assist you with everything from initial data imports to advanced reporting questions.
